That first step towards healing takes courage.
Allowing yourself to admit that you may want to seek help takes bravery. In a culture where we are taught to be independent and productive, taking time to receive help and to heal can feel like admitting weakness. It can feel very vulnerable.

Reaching out when you need to is anything but weak.
Being able to express your vulnerabilities is in fact a strength.
It takes tremendous inner strength and wisdom to recognize when things are not working for you anymore and you find yourself facing situations that you simply don't have the tools for. When old ways of coping with stressors are not working anymore and anxieties or depressed feelings have begun to run your life, reaching out for help is the most courageous thing you can do.
Whether you are looking for individual counselling, couples or marriage counselling, or you are looking for a support system during these incredibly isolating times, I would love to take this journey with you and help you achieve your personal wellness goals.
About Me
Shawna Bot, MACP, RCC
Clinical Counsellor
My approach to counselling is built on warmth and acceptance. I seek to create a space that is judgment free and open to exploring whatever you bring to the table. I strongly believe that each individual is the expert of their own lives, which means that therapy will not consist of me telling you what to do, but be a collaborative discussion around what you have seen work, or not work, in your life and how we can move towards health and wellness in light of that.
